Those times can cause us to run from God or run to Him. We might run from Him because we know He could have kept things from happening, or taken away the problem, because He is God. We might feel betrayed or lose our trust that He really does care about us. The question of “why do bad things happen to good people?” has been asked since the beginning of time. King David knew that even though King Saul was trying to kill him, he was in God’s hands, and God was just a prayer away. David did have to run from Saul, but he ran to God for his help. At one point he could have taken Saul’s life but chose to let God handle the situation for him because he said Saul was originally anointed by God. God did take care of that matter and He always will. Fear however is debilitating and can consume us if we try to take it on by ourselves. Crying out to God, or even just a simple”Lord help me”, goes straight to God’s ears when we pray. We see a picture of God seated on His throne in Isaiah chapter 6. What an awesome view of God Isaiah got, but we have the benefit of reading and seeing his vision in scripture today. Sitting upon His throne, high and lifted up, with angels all around giving Him glory and honor and praise. In Acts 7 we see Stephen, as he is being stoned to death for preaching the gospel, looking up and seeing the heavens open, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God. God may not keep us from all distress or trouble but He does promise to never leave or forsake us. As Moses is giving some of his final words to the people in Deuteronomy 31:8 he says, ” And the LORD, He it is that doth go before thee; He will be with thee, He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee; fear not, neither be dismayed.” The things we face in life may try to make us run from God but He has always been faithful to be with His people through those times, when we run into His arms. He’s listening to your cries for help today, just pray, “Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven”. – Pastor Robert

Even when God is our everything, we still can have moments and times of…

[8

post-233","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-daily-devotions","no-post-thumbnail
["GET
